Meet Mark Todd…

Mark Todd is a local architect who designs buildings that become a meaningful part of people’s lives and the places they inhabit.

He’s also a coffee-lover, music-fanatic, a fellow resident in Ormeau Baths.

Over the last year or so, Mark and I have had the weirdest and most wonderful spontaneous conversations in corridors, kitchens and cafes. The more I’ve gotten to know him, the more I find him to be a kindred spirit and one of the most interesting conversationalists I know.

Today’s conversation is my attempt of bottling the magic, curiosity and deep sense of calm I experience while talking to Mark and it’s unlike any episode we’ve shared before. It’s the type of slow-paced, relaxing conversation you’d expect to have over a cup of tea, around a fire on a cold, winters night.

In this week’s show, we talk about the impact of architecture, what it’s like growing up as an introvert, the influence of our grandfathers and our favourite words.

So sit back, relax and prepare to leave the world behind as we journey through song lyrics, passages from books, ancient history, memories and our greatest fears…

All this and more, coming up.
